Milleson’s Walnut Grove Campground, Inc. Rules

  1. Each vehicle must register at the designated check in station.

  2. Speed limit is 5 mph in the campground and 10 mph on all roads outside the campground.

  3. Motor vehicles are to be operated by licensed drivers only. Bicycles, golf carts and licensed vehicles must stay on established roads and are not allowed after dark unless equipped with working lights. Lease customers with golf carts must register their golf carts with Milleson's Walnut Grove Campground, Inc. and have their identifying numbers visibly displayed on their golf carts at all times. Golf cart owners will allow only licensed drivers to operate the vehicle, will ensure that all persons riding within the vehicle are properly seated in a seat (e.g. no standing/crouching/sitting on the back of a cart in the area designed for golf bags), will comply with all the requirements stated on the golf cart registration form. Only lease customers are permitted to use golf carts at Milleson's Walnut Grove Campground.

  4. Regular quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. On event nights the quiet hours will be thirty (30) minutes after the event stops or 10 p.m., whichever is later.

  5. Parents and/or legal guardians are responsible at all times for the supervision and safety of their children and guests under 18. Curfew for minors is 10 p.m. On event nights the curfew is thirty (30) minutes after the event stops or 10 p.m., whichever is later.

  6. All children 14 years of age and younger will wear helmets when riding bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc. in accordance with West Virginia State Law.

  7. ALL USE OF THE RIVER IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.  If you choose to swim in the river please remember: A. There are no lifeguards on duty; B. Because of debris, please wear shoes at all times while in the water and on land; and C. The land across the river from the campground does not belong to the campground.

  8. Pets are welcome if the following stipulations are met:  1) a copy of their vaccination record is on file in the campground office (lessees), 2) they are on a durable leash, and 3) they are attended at all times. Pets are not to be left outside when owners are not on the site. Owners will dispose of pet waste. Any pet causing a disturbance (i.e. excessive barking, aggressive behavior) shall be removed immediately from the campground at the manager’s request.

  9. A West Virginia fishing license is required to fish in the river. Deer, raccoons, squirrels, snakes and other wild animals pass through the campground. Always maintain a safe distance from all animals. Please do not try to catch or pet any of them. Remember to keep all food secure and unavailable to animals.

  10. Campsites will be maintained in a neat and attractive manner with all garbage bagged and put in dumpster.

  11. Campfires are permitted only in designated areas and shall not be left unattended. Thoroughly extinguish your campfire before checking out.

  12. No cutting of standing timber or bushes. Trees are not to be used to support ropes, swings, tarps, lanterns, or other camping equipment.

  13. All tanks (black and gray) must be emptied at the dumping station. No liquids are to be dumped on the ground surface at any time. Hose down all spillage to keep dump station clean.

  14. Prohibited:  Discharging a firearm; ATV’s and unlicensed motorcycles; littering; smoking in the bathhouse, store or laundromat; washing vehicles and/or RVs; and any fireworks not authorized by the state of WV: Firecrackers, torpedoes, sky rockets, roman candles, and daygo bombs.
